Peter started his career in 1989 with Lloyds Merchant Bank managing its EM debt portfolios, and then worked at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell. In 1993 he joined Banque Indosuez in Paris, working alongside Alexis Habib and several other members of what is now the Spinnaker Capital team. In 1999 he founded Exotix (now known as Tellimer), which he grew into the leading EM & Frontier Markets debt & equity brokerage firm, with over 110 staff and offices in 7 countries on 5 continents within a decade. He sold his stake in Exotix in 2016, and has since been working in the EM impact and development space including, among other things, CEO and NED roles for UK subsidiaries of Nigerian asset managers and advisory businesses; and from 2015-2020 as NED on the AIM-listed Terra Capital Plc, a deep value EM equity investor. From 2018-2021 he was a partner and investment adviser at GML Capital LLP, focused on EM special situations, managing an African trade finance fund and supporting capital raising. He holds a BA in History & Economic History from Durham University.
