Christopher Teague
Christopher Teague is a partner responsible for sourcing and managing special situations investments for the Spinnaker Capital funds in Latin America. Until 1987, he worked in Brazil for Citibank, covering metals and mining companies and multinationals operating in the country. From 1987-1997, he worked in the international investment banking division of Citibank in New York specialising in emerging markets, ultimately being the responsible managing director for the bank’s project finance and structured finance activities in Latin America. From 1997-2002, he worked at Chase Manhattan Bank and then at J.P. Morgan as a managing director in their investment banking group with responsibility for syndicated debt raisings for Latin American and North American borrowers. From 2003-2006, he was an executive director with a private equity group in Sydney, which subsequently listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. During this time he focussed on private equity opportunities, public markets takeovers and activist shareholder investments. He joined Spinnaker in 2006 in their Singapore office and transferred to Brazil in May 2014. He holds a Master of Laws from Sydney University and a BA in Economics from Cambridge University.
