Alexandre Ataide is a portfolio manager responsible for the macro strategy in Latin America, based in São Paulo. He joined Spinnaker Capital in 1999 to set up the firm’s managerial controls, first in the São Paulo office and then in London where he set up the initial risk management assessment and the Geneva platform of accounting and trade capturing. He previously worked in the Brazilian branch of Credit Agricole Indosuez (CAI) from 1996-1999, responsible for the accounting of local funds and equity transactions. Prior to joining CAI, he worked for OPP Petro–quimica. He holds a Business degree and a specialisation in Finance from Fundação Getúlio Vargas and a Masters in Finance from London Business School.
